Caryn is a counsellor-in-training, expressive arts facilitator, certified advanced clinical hypnosis, behavioural change, and neuro-linguistic programming practitioner. She has attained more than 500 hours of practical experience conducting counselling and expressive arts therapy.

Michael Teh

Michael Teh is a certified Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) by the Yoga Alliance, under the guidance of world-renowned instructor Shilpa Ghatalia. He is currently conducting his workshops at his brand new meditation space @sages.co founded by him and his wife, Allyson.

Ian Goh

Ian is the Director of Learning and Development at Malaysian Philosophy Society, and a HRDF certified trainer. He is a specialist philosophy teacher accredited by the Philosophy Foundation, a UK-based charity dedicated to promoting philosophical enquiry to children and adults.

Evone Phoo

Evone Phoo

Evone Phoo trained as a clinical psychologist and has been practicing since 2014. She is currently the Clinical Care Manager at MindFi and a part-time lecturer at HELP University. She mainly works with adults in psychotherapy, within the Psychoanalytic and Existential framework.

Bashir Bashardoost

Bashir Bashardoost is the Deputy HOD at the Department of Psychology in HELP University. He is a registered counsellor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia and he works within the Psychoanalytical and Existential framework in psychotherapy.

Alexander Moseley

Alexander Moseley is a philosopher, author and educationalist. He is the author of “Philosophy of Love” on Internet Encyclopaedia of Philosophy, alongside six other books. He served at the University of Evansville, before setting up his own education company.

Live Love Labour is a festival that celebrates living, loving and labouring more meaningfully in this fast-paced, chaotic world. This year we are exploring the theme “The Art of Bersantai”, which is the art of slow, intentional and contemplative living through the lens of philosophy.

The festival is scheduled to take place on the 21st of October, 2023, from 9 am to 6 pm, at Me.reka Makerspace Publika KL.

The festival is divided in Santai Plenaries, Santai Workshops and Santai Marketplace, featuring mix of talks, workshops and pop-up stores, covering a wide range of topics from self-love and mindful relationships, to burnout, meditation, art, meaning of life, and more. Participants can engage in talks with renowned speakers, interactive and experiential workshops, explore the, and network with like-minded individuals.

The festival is open to all Malaysians who are interested in exploring philosophy as a means to lead more fulfilling and meaningful lives. It welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, professions, and age groups.

Yes you can. The event is a hybrid event where certain talks and workshops will be livestreamed to allow participants outside of the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur to participate online.

Yes you can. However, we highly encourage interested participants to stay for the whole day to allow the learnings of the festival to take effect in your everyday life, work and relationships.

Registration operates on a first-come, first-served basis based on the venue’s capacity. Hence, we recommend you to register before the event day to secure your spot.

The admission to the festival is free of charge.

Unfortunately, there won’t be any food or refreshments provided at the festival. However, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the Publika KL area for your dining needs.
